Concerned Ally McCoist believes incoming Celtic chief Dominic McKay must "hit the ground running" when he takes the reins at Parkhead.
And the Rangers icon believes his job will be made even harder due to a host of big-name players set for the Parkhead exit door.
The likes of Odsonne Edouard, Ryan Christie and Kris Ajer have been linked with money-spinning moves away and it comes after Jeremie Frimpong's £11m Bayer Leverekusen deal.
Neil Lennon looks set to secure at least one new arrival with Everton right-back Jonjoe Kenny expected to replace the jet-heeled Netherlands U21 star on loan
But McCoist admits he's been left scratching his head over the long-term strategy at Celtic and believes the current changes has put paid to a successful January window.
Speaking on talkSPORT : "Where are they going, where are Celtic going?
"Peter Lawwell is retiring and that position has been taken by the COO of Scottish Rugby (Dominic Mckay).
"So we know the change there, but nobody is really speaking about Lennon bringing players in because where I'm sitting it's going to be massive for Celtic.
"Frimpong's away and there will be another three, four, potentially five that will follow him.
"Who is going to bring these players in? Is there going to be a new manager, is Lennon going to stay?

"i think there has been automatic, and perhaps wrong, opinion that Lennon will move, do we know?"
And McCoist admits he has concerns over whether on not the Scottish Rugby COO is the right man for the ailing Premiership champions at this time.
The 58-year-old is adamant McKay will need to lean on outgoing Peter Lawwell and prinicpal shareholder Dermot Desmond when he arrives in July.
He added: "With the greatest respect to Dominic McKay, who is clearly excellent and has been excellent at his job with the SRU.
"But he is coming into a completely different entity with his job at Celtic. His job at Celtic he'll have to hit the ground running.
"His first job will be having to provide the manager, whoever that may be, with a playing staff that can compete to get the title back off Rangers who look winners this years.
"It's an unbelievable job that Dominic McKay is going to have and I'm not sure he's got the experience right now to come and in and handle it.
"He will really need Peter Lawwell and Dermot Desmond at his side."
