Ally McCoist in impassioned Rangers and Celtic disciplinary rant as he hammers SFA 'shambles'

Ally McCoist has launched an impassioned rant against the prolonged SFA disciplinary "shambles" following Rangers' win over Celtic in December.

The fallout from the incident-packed derby continues 19 days on as Rangers were dragged into the dock on Friday.

The club face a hearing over failing to ensure "employees and players conduct themselves in an orderly fashion" and coach Michael Beale must answer his own misconduct charge.

Celtic's Ryan Christie received a retrospective ban for violent conduct which infuriated the Premiership champions.

There were also calls for Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent to be punished for gestures made during the game, although it's since been confirmed no action will be taken against either player individually.

Rangers legend McCoist believes the situation has spiralled out of control as he branded it "a shambles and "a disgrace".

"Listen, it's a shambles," McCoist told Premier Sports .

"The boy Ryan Christie, it's an absolute disgrace what happened to him after that game.

"One of the problems is the fact the game was three weeks ago and there's not been any football since.

"The press, the media, the fans - everybody still wants to talk about it.

"Why has it (the charges) taken so long? 19 days, that's embarrassing, it really is.

"It's one disaster, one mistake after another.

"I thought the Ryan Christie thing was shocking, I don't know what was going on with that.

"Ryan Kent, what's going to happen to Ryan Kent?

"Robbie Keane, one of the best goalscorers the country's ever seen, made his celebration every week shooting fans and having a go.

"Morelos, clearly, I didn't like it at all. But are you going to tell me Morelos was telling 10,000 Celtic fans he's going to slit their throat?

"No, he's saying the game's over, the game's finished. Let's just get on with it.
