Rangers icon Ally McCoist has once again proved his iron-clad Ibrox credentials after he shunned a night out in the Big Smoke to cheer on the club he loves.
The talkSPORT pundit provided social media updates as he plumped for a night in a hotel room over heading to North London to watch Jose Mourinho's Tottenham .
McCoist was in fine fettle as he posted a series of Instragram stories about his big night in as Steven Gerrard 's side laboured to a 1-0 win over resolute St Mirren.
But the 58-year-old issued an apology after the manager of hotel he was residing in asked him to clarify his comments after describing his digs as "stuffy" during the Rangers clash.
And McCoist was certainly getting into the swing of things as he used the social media site's wide array of emojis and filters to keep his 56,000 followers entertained.
He said: "Isn't it amazing the people you find out who actually read your posts.
"Big Ian, the general manager of the hotel I'm staying in, and I, are now in full agreement that the hotel room that I watched the match on the IPad is indeed not stuffy, it is in fact luxurious, were the words Ian and I decided to agree upon.
'Just to set the record straight Ian, sorry about that."
