Fans have lauded Ally McCoist's recent efforts as both a commentator and a pundit.
The former Rangers striker and boss has proven himself to be one of the most entertaining in the business and a recent highlight of Scottish football's coverage.
However, even the top professionals can be left red-faced and McCoist was caught in a live on-air gaffe ahead of Rangers' Europa League clash with with Royal Antwerp.
The Light Blues legend was on BT Sport running through the starting line-up for the last 32 first leg.
McCoist was talking up Steven Gerrard's decision to make changes to the flanks with Ryan Kent dropping to the bench.
The 24-year-old attacker has been an ever-present throughout the Premiership campaign but Scott Arfield was been drafted in for the last 32 clash in Belgium.
However, when talking about the big call by Gerrard McCoist suffered a slip of the tongue.
He said: “I’m not that surprised by Ryan Kant's omission."
However, McCoist was quick to correct himself with "Kent" but host Darrell Currie wasn’t going to let him get away with it.
He pulled up the iconic goalscorer who then quipped: "It was close, it was very, very close, but I think we got away with it."
Kent came on as a sub just before half-time.
