Ally McCoist in Alfredo Morelos Rangers TV pep talk as club icon reacts to striker's frustration

Rangers legend Ally McCoist has joked Alfredo Morelos is the club's greatest ever striker when it comes to taking the huff at being substituted.

The 57-year-old Ibrox all-time goalscorer was in the gantry during the thumping 4-0 win over their Premiership rivals Aberdeen and offered his verdict on the Colombian.

Morelos was visibly annoyed after he failed to find the net during the romp at Ibrox and chucked his gloves to the ground after he was replaced by

Speaking on Sky Sports, he said: "I have to inform you. I was never one to be happy getting taken off myself but I think he even beats me in depression at being substituted. And that's saying a lot.

"It's actually the biggest compliment I can pay him.

"He out depresses me when he gets taken off!"

The Colombian is adapting to a deeper role this season and has been struggling to hit the net as prolifically as the last two years under Steven Gerrard.
