Ally McCoist draws a Rangers blank over Theo Baker as he makes Legends game admission

Rangers icon Ally McCoist admits his belief he was "too old" to turn out for the weekend Legends clash fell down after pal Paul Gascoigne took to the pitch.

But the 59-year-old was left racking his brain when asked about YouTuber Theo Baker's appearance during the glamour friendly to celebrate the club's 150th anniversary.

The Rangers seelct included the likes of Gascoigne, Rangers manager Gio van Bronckhorst and former skipper Barry Ferguson.

McCoist revealed last week he was toiling with hamstring and achilles injuries when speaking with Ronald de Boer.

And he was struggling to work out who Baker was when quizzed by co-host Laura Woods about the festivities over the weekend.

Speaking on talkSPORT, he said: "That's gone flying above my head.

"Oh yeah, It went very well, seeming, it went very well, by all accounts."

When asked by Woods why he didn't feature, he responded: "Too old."

Woods then asked if watching Gascoigne turn out and made him rethink his belief he was past the days of turning out in Light Blue, he said: "Yes, yes, in answer to your question."

"It went very well."

Rangers Legends faced a World XI that featured superstars such as Luis Figo and Kaka as part of their anniversary celebrations.
