Ally McCoist blows gasket in Celtic celebration rant but Chris Sutton claims Rangers are in trouble

Ally McCoist kicked off BT Sport's Scottish Football Extra with a hilarious rant about Celtic 's celebrations in Dingwall.

And he quickly got a rise out of Chris Sutton who claimed he's only fuming because Rangers are in trouble.

10-man Celtic clinched all three points at Ross County through Anthony Ralston's 97th minute header, sparking bedlam in the away end.

Visiting boss Malky Mackay fumed at the amount of time added on and that was something McCoist also pointed to.

But his main focus was on Celtic's jubilant celebrations, as he mocked them for "over-celebrating" - like Sutton previously accused Rangers fans of.

In a colourful and lighthearted tirade, McCoist said: "I've got my stop watch just to make sure this show doesn't go beyond 30 minutes. Say, like an extra seven or eight minutes.

"I've got to say by the way, what about that Sutton giving me stick about the Rangers supporters over-celebrating at Partick Thistle?

"Deary, deary me. Did anybody see those celebrations at Ross County? Second-bottom of the league, god help us if they beat someone in the top six. Oh my god!

"What's going to happen if Celtic beat somebody in the top six? Are they going to have a Mardi Gras? Will it be VE celebrations again, Victory in Europe 1945?

"Will there be fireworks shooting off Sydney Harbour? Got help us, what's going to happen?"

Sutton, laughing all the way through McCoist's hysterical rant, soon quipped back as he claimed it was a "Christmas miracle" in Dingwall.

And he reckons McCoist is starting to sweat the challenge across the city as Celtic prepare to strengthen in January.

"It was a Christmas miracle, wasn't it? Ralston rising, Celtic down to ten men," Sutton said.

"It kept Celtic in the title race. It was a massive, massive goal.

"It tells you a lot about Celtic that McCoist is moaning and complaining. He knows that Rangers are in a bit of trouble.

"Once Celtic reinforce in January, Rangers are in trouble. They just need to hang in there. They barely have any players, they get a player sent off, and they still find the spirit under big Ange to win the game.

"Incredible scenes."
