Ally McCoist believes Celtic job is Neil Lennon's to lose after old rivals enjoy catch-up

Ally McCoist insists Neil Lennon only has to keep winning games and the Celtic job will be his.

The legendary Rangers striker revealed he met the Northern Irishman earlier this month.

McCoist stopped short of disclosing what they spoke about.

But the talkSPORT pundit told listeners on the radio this morning he feels his former adversary will be given the Celtic role full-time.

McCoist said: "I was with wee Lenny the week before at a charity thing.

“All he can do is keep winning games and that’s what he’s doing. I watched the game against Hibs and I enjoyed it.”

McCoist was then asked by Alan Brazil if Kilmarnock boss Stevie Clarke should be Brendan Rodgers’ successor, to which he replied: "That would be an interesting one.

"I just think Neil can continue to do what he’s doing and that’s winning games. They are certainly going to win the title.”

Lennon’s record since jumping back into the hotseat since Rodgers’ departure reads nine games played, six won and three draws.
