
Riding high on the success of Duvvada Jagannadham, it seems Allu Arjun has another hit on his hands with Naa Peru Surya. The next big Telugu release after Rangasthalam and Bharat Ane Nenu -- both of which have done blockbuster business at the box office -- the film starring Allu and Anu Emanuel is slated to release on May 4. However, before the audience lines up to watch it in theatres, the film has made Rs 103 crore from sales of rights, according to collections shared by Andhra Box Office.
The theatrical rights for the film, including the dubbed Tamil and Malayalam versions, has gone for Rs 58.5 crore in Telugu speaking states and Rs 75 crore worldwide. The broadcast rights for the film have been sold for Rs 24.5 crore and music fetched the film Rs 3.5 crore, leading to a total of Rs 103 crore worldwide. The film has to collect more than Rs 75 crore to be deemed a hit.
Directed by Vakkantham Vamsi, Naa Peru Surya is about an army man who is suspended for his failure to keep his temper under control. He then tries to live the life of a common man and falls in love. He is all set to tie the knot with his lady love when he is let down by his temper again. The film’s teaser and trailer have both been received well by the audience, especially Allu Arjun’s action sequences.
Naa Peru Surya is produced by Nagendra Babu and Sridhar Lagadapati under the banner Ramalakshmi Cine Creations. The music for the film is composed by Vishal Shekhar in which Arjun Sarja and Sarathkumar play pivotal roles along with actor Nadiya.
The Telangana government has allowed the film to release shows as early as 5 am, which promises a big opening for the Allu Arjun starrer.
