Neil Parry has been released from his contract at Alloa after falling out of favour under new Wasps boss Barry Ferguson at the Indodrill this season.
The 35-year-old from East Kilbride was a hugely popular figure at the Clackmannanshire club, having spent the last five years there and being part of the side which won promotion to the Championship in 2018.
Alloa were relegated last term under Peter Grant and Ferguson arrived in May, preferring Craig McDowall between the sticks and then bringing in former Airdrie keeper David Hutton.
Earlier this month, Ferguson had insisted the shot-stopper still had a future at the club, but he has now left after just one appearance this season.
Parry also played for Lanarkshire sides Albion Rovers and Airdrieonians before his move to Alloa in 2016.
A statement from Alloa said: "We can confirm Neil Parry has been released from his contract with Alloa Athletic.
"Neil has made just a single start this season and has struggled to break into the starting XI.

"The stopper remains a popular figure at the Indodrill and we wish him all the best as he looks to continue his career at pastures new.
"Neil was a mainstay of the Jack Ross relegation rebuild that saw Alloa set a record 10 game winning streak at the start of the 2016/17 season and ultimately finish second in League 1, narrowly missing out on promotion via the playoffs in the process. Parry kept 16 clean sheets in 44 appearances."
Earlier today, Alloa's trip to Airdrie on Saturday was postponed amid a Covid outbreak at the Diamonds has left them unable to fulfil the fixture.
