Both have been cancelled as a result of the poor weather conditions that have battered most of the country.

Limerick GAA later said: "Unfortunately due to the forecasted high winds this afternoons league game Vs Waterford has been postponed. Details of refixture to be announced by GAA during week."

It is the second time Limerick's game with Waterford has been cancelled as it was originally scheduled to take place on Saturday evening.

RTE also had to cancel their TV coverage of Saturday's Dublin derby between Bohemians and Shamrock Rovers due to Storm Dennis.

They said in a statement:  “The SSE Airtricity League of Ireland and RTÉ Sport regret to announce the cancellation of live TV coverage of today's Dublin derby between Bohemians and Shamrock Rovers.

“The decision was taken on health and safety grounds due to the inclement weather caused by Storm Dennis and its effect on the working conditions of broadcast staff.”
