Alli, Kane, Lamela - Latest Spurs injury news & expected return dates ahead of Huddersfield game

Mauricio Pochettino now has a number of injury concerns ahead of a big week for the club.

Having beaten Man City 1-0 on Tuesday night in the Champions League, the Lilywhites return to league action on Saturday lunchtime against Huddersfield Town as they bid to secure a top-four finish.

Spurs then travel to Manchester on Wednesday for the second leg of their European clash, with another game in the league at the Etihad Stadium coming three days later.

The main injury concern at present is Harry Kane following the ankle issue he sustained just before the hour mark against City.

Kane only returned from an ankle problem in February and it looks like he may be ruled out for the rest of the season depending on the severity of it.

The England captain left Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on crutches with a protective boot on his left foot.

Spurs are waiting for swelling to subside on the injury before scanning Kane to find out how long he will be ruled out for.

Dele Alli is another injury worry to come from the game after he was substituted in the 87th minute holding his wrist.

The 23-year-old has since been filmed wearing a cast on his hand, although the video on Instagram has been deleted.

According to the Daily Mail, the England international had a scan on on Wednesday and Spurs will explore ways to ensure he can play in the run-in if he has suffered a suspected broken hand.

Spurs also have Serge Aurier, Eric Dier and Erik Lamela in the treatment room at present and will be hoping the trio can return very soon ahead of some crucial games.

All three are currently undertaking on-field rehabilitation with Dier having a hip flexor issue and Aurier and Lamela suffering with hamstring injuries.
