Alleged WHCD gunman Cole Allen appears in resurfaced 2017 interview about invention to make wheelchairs safer

A clip of alleged gunman Cole Tomas Allen speaking to local news in 2017 has resurfaced following the shooting at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.

On Saturday (25 April), a suspected gunman attempted to storm the black tie event at the Washington Hilton hotel at 8:30pm, with shots fired before he was apprehended by the Secret Service.

Hundreds of reporters, gathered for the annual dinner, ducked for cover.

Allen, a former student at California Institute of Technology (Caltech) in Pasadena, spoke to ABC7LA in 2017 whilst at a conference. He had designed a new way to make wheelchairs safer.
