POLICE have charged a man with two offences after he allegedly robbed a Teralba service station at knifepoint on Thursday.
The 31-year-old was arrested after he was spotted walking along William Street at Teralba shortly after an alleged hold-up at the York Street business.
It is alleged the man entered the premises about 6.30am and threatened an attendant with a knife, demanding cash before he fled north on foot.
Lake Macquarie police found the man a short time later and say he fit the description of the alleged offender following their investigations.
He was taken to Toronto police station and charged with robbery armed with an offensive weapon and possess prohibited drug.
The man was refused bail to face Newcastle Local Court on Friday morning.
