Alleged ear-biting attacker still at large after gruesome Dublin city assault on young man

Gardai are on the hunt for an attacker who is alleged to have bitten a chunk of his victim's ear during a Dublin city assault over the weekend.

The attacker is understood to have approached the young man at around 11pm on Saturday in the South King Street area.

The victim of the attack, a man in his 20s, was taken to St. James's Hospital for treatment following the gruesome assault.

Dublin Live understands that the victim is still recovering, is "doing okay" and is helping Gardai with their investigations.

A Garda spokesman told Dublin Live: "We are investigating an assault that took place on South King Street in Dublin on Sunday 17 April at approximately 11pm.
