POLICE are investigating an alleged carjacking in which a teenage driver was threatened and his vehicle stolen.
According to a NSW police spokesman Hunter Valley police are investigating the alleged robbery which occurred about midnight Monday.
"A Toyota Landcruiser was travelling along the Hunter Expressway when a vehicle pulled over behind it and threatened the driver - a 19-year-old man," the spokesman said.
"Police have been told the driver and a male passenger exited the Toyota before an unknown man stole the vehicle and left the scene."
As investigations are ongoing, anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
