Alleged bikie member charged with pub brawl at Branxton

A man police believe to be a member of the Finks Outlaw Motorcycle Gang has been charged in relation to an alleged brawl at a Branxton hotel.

The arrest came after several Finks members attended the Royal Federal Hotel on Saturday night.

It will be alleged in court that two men approached two patrons and assaulted them.

Other patrons in the venue came to their aid and separated the group, police said. They all left the hotel prior to officers arriving.

About 10am Thursday, investigators attended a home on Wollombi Road, Bellbird Heights, where they arrested a 28-year-old man.

He was taken to Hunter Valley Police Station and charged with affray.

The man was granted conditional bail and will appear in Cessnock Local Court on January 20.

As inquiries continue police are seeking information from anyone who may have been at the hotel in the evening of Saturday, December 19.
