Allan Saint-Maximin's suggestion for new pre-match entertainment at St James' Park

Newcastle United star Allan Saint-Maximin has tweeted a new idea for pre-match entertainment at St James' Park.

Currently doing the rounds on social media is a video of a Benidorm busker who at the request of Newcastle fans breaks into song of Blaydon Races.

The video has brought a smile to faces of Magpie fans who are without football for the next three weeks after the Premier League suspended fixtures due to the coronavirus.

Saint-Maximin , who has been given his own individual training plan after the club closed down their Benton training ground, retweeted the video of the busker - and urged the club to sign him up.

He wrote: "We need that guy for the "players entrance anthem" in St-James Park."

After starring in the FA Cup win over West Brom and the 1-0 win over Southmapton, the Frenchman has had a busy week - documenting a day in the life of a footballer via Instagram.

United were due to play Sheffield United this weekend at home.
