Allan Saint-Maximin responds to his fantastic goal after Newcastle United fans spot Sky Sports error

Allan Saint-Maximin has responded online after a video emerged of him confusing a Sky Sports cameraman with his skill against Burnley.

The Magpies are now six points clear of 18th-place Fulham - with a game in hand - after the 2-1 victory at Turf Moor.

Matej Vydra put the Clarets ahead early on before Sean Longstaff was kicked by James Tarkowski - which looked a clear penalty for the visitors.

However, after consulting VAR, the decision was not given in Newcastle's favour and the score remained 1-0 going into the half-time break.

But Steve Bruce 's side fought back in the second period with Jacob Murphy finding the net to level the clash before Saint-Maximin 's brilliant winner moments later.

The French attacker picked up the ball on the halfway line and made his way to the Burnley box and completely sold two defenders at once with a fake shot on the edge of the area.

Saint-Maximin then slotted the ball past Bailey Peacock-Farrell with a classy left-footed shot into the bottom corner.

The 24-year-old took to Twitter after the game and posted a video that Newcastle fans loved.

Replying to a tweet of his goal that read: "these cameramen have families @asaintmaximin", the Newcastle star posted a video captioned "He kept filming me when I came back to the dressroom".

Newcastle now have a six-point advantage over Fulham - who were beaten on Friday evening - with just seven matches left of their season, with the Cottagers having only six left.

The Magpies now have almost a week without a game, with West Ham United the next visitors to St. James' Park next Saturday afternoon, before a trip to Liverpool the following week for Bruce's side.
