Allan Saint-Maximin is 'feeling good' as he prepares for Manchester United game with superb training ground goal

For many Newcastle United supporters Allan Saint-Maximin returning to full fitness is seen as one of the few hopes this season.

The flying Frenchman has been unlucky injuries since his arrival from Nice, pulling up against Tottenham in only the second game of the season which ruled him out for several weeks.

He returned in the 0-0 draw against Brighton at St James' Park but again felt his hamstring, and didn't make it off the bench in the 5-0 thumping off Leicester City.

But the 22-year-old is hoping to start against Manchester United and if footage from a recent training session is anything to go by, Saint-Maximin certainly looks ready.

Taking to his social media accounts with the hashtag #feelingood #workhard, Saint-Maximin posted a video of a goal scored in a training match up at the club's Benton training ground.

He skips past six players before dinking the ball past the goalkeeper - in-front of the watching eye of Steve Bruce.

While Bruce probably asked questions of the defence - it was similar effort to that seen for Leicester City's first goal as Ricardo was allowed to steam forward with out question - he'll be happy, as will fans, to see Saint-Maximin in full flow.
