Rangers goalkeeper Allan McGregor has signed a new one-year contract extension as he commits to play beyond his 40th birthday.
The former Scotland international was a key part of the side that lifted the Premiership title this season, with a stunning save against Celtic one of his highlights of the campaign.
The 39-year-old's deal was up at the end of the season and McGregor had been coy on his future but it's now been confirmed that he'll play on for at least one more season.
A statement announced: " Rangers are today delighted to announce goalkeeper Allan McGregor has signed a new deal with the club, keeping him at Ibrox until the summer of 2022."
Speaking after putting pen to paper, the goalkeeper admitted that extending his stay was a no-brainer.
McGregor said: "I didn't really need convincing. It was more that my body felt okay and performances seemed okay, so why not?
“You get to love the place and you feel like it is your home.
"You know everybody that works here - not that I didn't at other places - but I just feel like it is my home and there is no other way to describe it."
