Allan McGregor reacts to outrageous Rangers save in trademark fashion as he delivers 'happy days' shrug

Humble Allan McGregor reacted to his mind-boggling save in typically understated fashion after securing Rangers a priceless draw in Prague.

The 39-year-old keeper made an incredible last-gasp save to deny Slavia a late winner in a tense Europa League last 16 clash at the Sinobo Stadium.

Filip Helander equalised for Rangers after Nicolae Stanciu curled in a stunning opener but it was McGregor's late intervention which denied the hosts a certain winner.

He got down rapidly to stop Lukas Masopust's powerful header in the game's standout moment.

But McGregor, typically a man of few words, didn't fancy blowing his own trumpet afterwards.

He told BT Sport: "A wee bit late. It's just one of those things.

"You see it, react to it, stick your hand out and hopefully it doesn't go in.

"And it never, so happy days."

On the result itself, McGregor insists it's too early to tell if Steven Gerrard's squad should be pleased with their efforts ahead of next week's second-leg at Ibrox.

He added: "Time will tell, I'll tell you next Thursday about this time if we're happy with it or not.

"After the start of the game I thought we did well to come back in, we created some chances.

"We got a good goal and just all-round played better."
