Everton target Allan's agent Juan Gemelli has provided an update on the status of his client's potential transfer to Goodison Park.
The Blues achieved a breakthrough in negotiations with Napoli and are now believed to be closing in on agreeing a fee for the midfielder to link up with Carlo Ancelotti once more.
Talks between the two clubs have been lengthy and now look to be heading towards a conclusion, although the deal is seemingly not done yet.
Allan's agent has spoken to the media to clarify that his client is not in Merseyside preparing for a medical with the Blues, as some reports had suggested.
Gemelli told CalcioNapoli [via SportWitness]: “We are still in Pozzuoli and I don’t know why this news of medical visits in England spread.
"Everton? Of course we are at a good point, but there’s not even an agreement with the player yet."
Despite a deal nearing between the two clubs for Allan, the midfielder has been included on a list of players who will be training with Napoli this week.
A statement on the Napoli website confirmed that following the departure of 13 players for international duty, the Blues target is one of the names that will continue to work with manager Gennaro Gattuso until, at least, September 4.
