All youth and adult football matches at all levels are suspended in Wales over coronavirus

The FAW has suspended all domestic football at all level in Wales following the Covid-19 outbreak.

It means all football matches including grassroots junior football has been suspended until April 4.

It comes as 13 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Wales this morning.

Premier League and all professional football in England and Wales has also been suspended.

In a statement, the FAW wrote: "The Football Association of Wales has today taken the decision to suspend domestic football at all levels in Wales with immediate effect until 4 April due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

"The intention at this time will be to resume the football schedule depending on the medical advice and conditions from the relevant authorities at that time.

"The FAW is fully aware of the impact this will have on the domestic game but the health and safety of all fans, players, volunteers and stakeholders are of paramount importance.

"The FAW will continue to monitor this situation on a day-by-day basis and will continue to provide updates when appropriate."
