All you need to know for Rod Stewart's Dublin and Belfast concerts

Veteran rocker Rod Stewart is jetting into town next week to play three concerts - two in Dublin and one in Belfast.

The Maggie May singer, 74, who's celebrating 50 years as a solo artist this year, will take to the stage of the SSE Arena on December 2 followed by two dates at 3Arena Dublin on December 4 and 5.

There are limited tickets available for the Belfast gig from Ticketmaster outlets but the Dublin tickets have sold out.

He was initially due to play just one Dublin concert, but a second was added due to huge demand.

As well as all the classic hits, fans will be treated to tracks from his new album Blood Red Roses.

Blood Red Roses is a 13-track collection of originals and three covers – released almost 50 years to the date from when he signed his very first solo recording contract.

And the singer also announced the launch of his new album You're In My Heart, which pairs classic vocal tracks from his most popular songs with new arrangements performed by The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

Produced by Trevor Horn, the album includes new orchestral versions of Rod’s number one UK hits Sailing, I Don’t Want To Talk About It and The First Cut Is The Deepest.

The collection also features versions of Maggie May and Reason To Believe – songs that topped the charts in both the UK and the US in 1971.

Alongside Rod’s major hits are fan favorites like Young Turks, Forever Young, If We Fall In Love Tonight, a version of Handbags And Gladrags from his multi-platinum acoustic album Unplugged…and Seated and Stay With Me, a Top 40 hit he recorded with the Faces in 1971.
