All wrapped up with Wenceslaus Hollar's Winter

Winter by Wenceslaus Holla
A woman wrapped up warm against winter stands in front of the smoking chimneys of Cornhill in this haunting glimpse of life on the streets of 17th-century London. Hollar, a protestant refugee from Prague, lived in Britain under the patronage of the art-collecting earl of Arundel. Here he shows his brilliance as an etcher as he hints at sexual intrigue in his subtle rendition of the woman’s enigmatic clothing, while the city’s fireplaces burn and smoulder.
