All we know so far about Ireland's 'Living with Covid' plan ahead of announcement

The 'Living with Covid' plan for Ireland is set to be announced on Tuesday morning after a Cabinet meeting.

The plan will have details of how Ireland will operate for the next eight months or so depending on how prevalent the virus is in the community.

NPHET today made their recommendations to Cabinet with Ministers to sign off on it early on Tuesday.

A briefing will then take place with Taoiseach Micheal Martin and Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly.

Here's all you need to know about the plan ahead of the full reveal;

What is the five level plan?

Each county will be placed in an alert level dependent on the Covid-19 levels there.

At the moment Dublin and Limerick are likely to be at level three - putting pub openings in jeopardy - while all other areas would be at level two.

These decisions would be based on the 14-day incidence rates for each county which they Department of Health track closely.

What restrictions are at each level?

These will all be announced on Tuesday morning but level one will be the most open status while level five would be near complete lockdown.

Level one is expected to still feature indoor and outdoor gathering limits but pubs, restaurants and the like will all be allowed open.

Level two is reportedly what we are currently living with - although pubs are expected to open too on this level.

Level three is reportedly what Kildare, Offaly and Laois all had to deal with during their short lockdowns with restaurants closing and people asked to limit their movements.

Level four will be a step up again on movements and gatherings while level five is expected to be similar to April's lockdown measures.

When will we find out?

A press conference is currently scheduled for 11:30am on Tuesday morning when officials will reveal all.

We will have all the very latest updates here on irishmirror.ie as and when it happens.
