'All we have to do' - Liverpool fans react as Man City draw at Crystal Palace

Liverpool's hopes of winning a 20th top flight league title took a new twist this evening, after Manchester City could only play out a 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

Patrick Vieira's side produced a dogged defensive display and even caused City problems on the counter-attack in a result that will be music to the ears of Liverpool supporters.

The Reds now know that victory against Arsenal on Wednesday evening will cut the gap between Pep Guardiola's side and themselves to just a solitary point.

And with Liverpool also scheduled to face Watford at Anfield hours before City play again, there could be a new Premier League leader by the time the Sky Blues trot out to face Burnley at Turf Moor on April 2.

Needlessly to say, supporters have reacted with glee across social media.

@mickythommo Tweeted: "So, all we have to do is win our remaining games and we win the league!"

@veepsified said: "58 days ago #ManCity were 13 points clear. It's possible #Liverpool could go top before city play again!

"And, if we win our next cup game, we'd have won one and still be in the running for the remaining three by the time #UCL comes around again!! What a season already!"

@LiamFergusonLFC added: "Great result for us that. Need to do the business on Wednesday now."

@razorc123 believes that the Crystal Palace home crowd made all the difference to the resulting, Tweeting: "A big example of how much of a difference fans make.

"Selhurst Park has a great atmosphere and carried them through. Last season in an empty stadium Mcfc win that."

Liverpool and Manchester City will come face-to-face on April 10 in what is quickly becoming the most hotly anticipated fixture of the season and one supporter accepts that the result of that match will still go a long way to determining the destination of this year's title.

@SGKennyKloppo Tweeted: "Get in, Palace!! What an effort. What a run-in this is going to be. Still have to beat City in all likelihood but it gives us a little breathing room with another result if we do that. There'll be more twists in this yet. "
