Canberrans who visited Victoria recently will remain subject to stay-at-home requirements for another week, as the metropolitan Melbourne lockdown was extended.
The rules will remain in place for all Victorian travellers in the ACT, including those who only visited regional areas, despite restrictions easing in that part of the state from Thursday night.
ACT Health announced the rules would remain until 11.59pm, June 10.
ACT residents returning from Victoria must also follow the stay-at-home rules on arrival.
There are currently seven Canberrans in quarantine after visiting a Victorian exposure site and 33 people in quarantine after attending exposure sites in NSW.
Victoria's acting Premier James Merlino said on Wednesday metropolitan Melbourne's lockdown would extend a further seven days, while restrictions would ease across regional Victoria.
The state recorded two new locally acquired cases overnight, taking the state's outbreak to 63.
Schools will reopen in regional Victoria from Friday and restaurants and cafes can reopen with capacity limits. Masks will remain essential indoors and public gatherings are limited to 10.
"The Victorian government has implemented tight gathering restrictions and other public health measures across regional Victoria to mitigate the risk of community transmission in this area," ACT Health said in a statement.
"The ACT does not have these restrictions in place and therefore maintaining the stay-at-home requirement provides the community with additional protections."
"The ACT will not be tightening its restrictions in relation to gatherings and business activity."
Any ACT residents leaving Victoria to return to the territory will be required to complete an online declaration form within 24 hours prior to arriving, and must go directly to their residence.
They can only leave for essential work or study which cannot be done remotely, to shop for essentials, for medical care, to exercise outdoors for one hour per day, essential care for animals or to get a COVID-19 vaccination.
Non-ACT residents who are planning to come to the ACT from Victoria cannot enter without an approved exemption prior to arrival.
Meanwhile, several new exposure sites have been identified in Gundagai, Goulburn, Huskisson, Jervis Bay and Vincentia.
ACT Health advised anyone who has visited these locations must regularly check the updated list of exposure sites.
Anyone who has attended a close contact exposure site at the times identified must complete a declaration form, get tested and enter 14 days quarantine from the time they attended regardless of a negative test result.
Anyone who has attended a casual contact exposure site at the times identified must also complete a declaration form, get tested and isolate until they get a negative result.
They should also monitor for symptoms for 14 days from the day they attended the site.
