Set in Averno City in 1983, where street crime is the norm, The Precinct has some specific types of vehicles, apart from all the police chasing and patrolling that needs to be done.
All types of vehicles in The Precinct
There are three types of vehicles in The Precinct:
- ACPD vehicles
- Civilian vehicles
- Emergency vehicles
Let’s take a look at all of them now.

All ACPD vehicles
Vehicle | Required Rank |
---|---|
Police Cruiser | Available right from the start |
Police Helicopter | Available right from the start |
4×4 Vehicle | Recruit 3 |
Station Wagon | Police Officer 2 |
Pickup Truck | Police Officer 9 |
Riot Van | Police Officer 17 |
Police Buzzard GTX | Police Officer 20 |
Every single ground emergency Averno City Police Department vehicle has a blue and white livery with red and blue emergency lights.
The doors and numbers of these ground vehicles also have the “ACPD Police” text, which is very similar to how the police vehicles in New York look.
All Civilian vehicles
- Cobalt Stallion
- Comandeered
- Emerald Strike
- Extra Woodie
- FrostFire
- Gran Detroit Turbo
- Midnight Inferno
- Red 77
- Stampede
- The Fugitive
- The Patriot
Apart from the Comandeered, the other 10 are rare vehicles in The Precinct. Once you find them, you unlock the Hidden in the Hood achievement.
Emergency vehicles
- Ambulance
Right now, at least in medical terms, there’s only one emergency vehicle available.
Similar to other games, such as GTA V or Mafia, all vehicles are damaged by collisions and gunshots and can be destroyed.
When I just started with the game and was playing the mission where I had to chase a criminal car on a Police Helicopter, I could see the health bar slowly declining after calling for backup Police Cruisers.
If you cause enough damage, the vehicles can catch on fire, and car windows can also be broken. All you need to do is shoot at them or collide with another vehicle hard enough.
