ALL Under One Banner (AUOB) has announced the route details of its final independence march of 2025.
Taking place Saturday, September 6, activists will march through Edinburgh following demonstrations in Glasgow and Stirling earlier this year.
In a post on Twitter/X, AUOB shared the timings and route of the upcoming Edinburgh rally with speakers yet to be announced.
The route is as follows:
Johnstone Terrace, Lawnmarket, High Street, Canongate, Horse Wynd then on to the Scottish Parliament.
The march is due to kick off at 12:30pm and will end around 4:30pm and a 50-seat bus service has been organised to pick up attendees across Brechin, Forfar and Dundee.
A spokesperson for AUOB told The National: “As we approach the 2026 elections, there must be unity from all political parties to achieve the route to independence. The AUOB Edinburgh march and rally fully promotes this.
“There will be a wide variety of political speakers on the day as well as our fabulous Indy musicians. Join All Under One Banner’s mass demonstration in Edinburgh, September 6. Let's make this massive.”
YesBikers for Scottish Independence, who joined both the Stirling and Glasgow marches, are also set to be in attendance, with performers and political speakers announced nearer the time.
In June, the group organised a march through Stirling and in May, a Glasgow rally saw roughly 5000 attendees with speakers including Alba leader Kenny MacAskill and SNP MSP Rona Mackay.
During the Glasgow rally, MacAskill praised an increase in turnout after numbers fell during the Covid-19 pandemic and urged First Minister John Swinney to put “country before party” as he called the 2026 vote a “plebiscite election” for Scottish independence.
The march through Edinburgh will also be livestreamed via the Independence Live YouTube channel and Facebook pages, as well as the AUOB TikTok and Facebook accounts, for those unable to attend.
