All traces of The Jeremy Kyle Show removed from YouTube following axe by ITV

All traces of The Jeremy Kyle Show has been removed from YouTube following the decision to axe the programme by ITV.

It comes just days after the tabloid talk show was taken off the broadcasters catch up service ITV Hub.

The official Twitter account for the programme has also been privatised.

The decision to axe the TV show, which was filmed in Salford, was announced today (May 15) by ITV's CEO, Carolyn McCall, after the apparent suicide of a guest.

She said in a statement: "Given the gravity of recent events we have decided to end production of The Jeremy Kyle Show.

"The Jeremy Kyle Show has had a loyal audience and has been made by a dedicated production team for 14 years, but now is the right time for the show to end.

"Everyone at ITV's thoughts and sympathies are with the family and friends of Steve Dymond."

It also said that it will continue to work with Jeremy Kyle on 'other projects'.

Mr Dymond, 63, was found dead at his home days after failing a lie detector test taken during the show.

This lead to the  show being pulled off air and suspended on Monday, May 13.

The broadcaster then faced intense scrutiny to axe the show after its aftercare processes were questioned, which it has since defended.

Downing Street also added an official comment and said TV firms must support participants in their shows.

The Prime Minister's official spokesman said: "This is a deeply concerning case.

"Broadcasters and production companies have a responsibility for the mental health and wellbeing of participants and viewers of their programmes.

"We are clear they must have appropriate levels of support in place."
