All the UK Met Office weather warnings in place as heavy rain forecast

The Met Office has a number of weather warnings in place over the next few days as the UK is set to be battered by heavy rain.

A yellow warning for rain is in place for the whole of Tuesday, June 11 across the East Midlands, the East of England, North East England, the West Midlands and Yorkshire and Humber.

Forecasters warn up to 60mm of rain could fall in just six to 12 hours causing flooding.

Some rural communities could be cut off by flooded roads.

A second warning is in place until 9pm for Devon and Somerset where roads could be flooded, causing travel disruption.

You can get weather updates ahead of the Cricket World Cup match due to take place in Bristol on June 11 here.

Further yellow weather warnings are in place across the Midlands and North East England for Wednesday and Thursday.

And although there are currently no warnings for Bristol, the city is set for a period of damp and disappointing weather.

The Weather Channel forecasts showers throughout tomorrow.

The downpours are expected to continue for most of the week and are only set to end on Friday afternoon.

A brief respite should follow, but rain is predicted to return on Friday evening and for much of Saturday.

From Sunday to Wednesday, we are set to finally see a sustained period without rain.

But showers are expected to come back towards the end of next week, with the possibility of scattered thunderstorms on Monday, June 24.

Temperatures this week are likely to hit 14 degrees from tomorrow until Thursday, before 17-degree highs on Friday and over the weekend.
