All the tier 1, 2 and 3 rules and curfew for pubs and restaurants after lockdown

The new strengthened tier system has been unveiled by the Prime Minister.

Boris Johnson appeared remotely in the House Of Commons on Monday afternoon to outline the plan for the end of lockdown next month.

The month-long national restrictions, which were introduced in a bid to curb the spread of coronavirus, come to an end on December 2.

The new tiered system, which was first introduced in October, sees even stricter measures for areas placed in Tier 2 and Tier 3 - particularly when it comes to the hospitality industry.

The most notable change is that the 10pm curfew has been adjusted. Now, last orders must be taken at 10pm and closing time at 11pm, allowing customers to depart in a staggered way.

For areas placed in Tier 1, pubs, bars and restaurants must operate as table service only.

Last orders must be taken at 10pm with venues closed by 11pm.

In Tier 2, alcohol can only be served in hospitality as part of a substantial meal - which includes a full breakfast, main lunchtime or evening meal. Pubs must close if they cannot facilitate that.

In Tier 3, hospitality will remain closed completely except for delivery and takeaway.

Indoor entertainment venues must also close. This includes bowling alleys, cinemas, bingo halls and soft play amongst others.

The tiers in which areas will go back into from December 2 will be announced later this week.

Mr Johnson said that he expects more areas to "temporarily" move into tougher tiers than they were before.
