All the Six musical casts joined by 3,000 fans in glorious online performance

All the casts of hit musical Six have come together with fans around the world for a new video.

Two of the show’s stars Grace Mouat and Danielle Steers brought together the West End, Broadway, Australia and touring casts of the musical to sing the opening number Ex-Wives.

The video, which also features a whopping 3,000 fans all singing from their homes, is hoping to raise money for three charities in the UK, USA and Australia helping those out of work due to the pandemic: Acting for Others, Actors Fund and Support Act.

Until the theatre’s closed last month, Six had been running to sold-out crowds since it opened in 2018, was supposed to open its New York run just as Broadway went dark over coronavirus. It has six separate productions.

The musical tells a new “herstory” of Henry VIII’s six wives, who have teamed up as a girl band and are on tour each telling their own stories. Anne Boleyn’s song Don’t Lose Ur Head, which is sung in the style of Lily Allen, has been shared more than half a billion times on Tik Tok.

In February, the original cast album surpassed 100 million streams online. It was written by creators Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss while they were still at university.
