Crompton Place Shopping Centre in Bolton town centre reopened today for the first time since lockdown guidelines forced it to close its doors in March.
Stores on the outside of the centre such as Boots, Specsavers and Poundland have traded throughout but other favourites such as Primark attracted large crowd s as they opened their doors this morning.
At the centre going forward, there will be enhanced cleaning regimes, hand sanitising units at each entrance, a directional contra-flow system, queue spots and guidance notes. Toilet facilities and the car park are currently closed for the time being.
Crompton Place Shopping Centre manager, Paula Woods, said: “I am delighted to be able to re-open Crompton Place in line with government guidelines.
“The safety and wellbeing of our visitors and teams is our top priority and we have worked tirelessly to ensure the centre is as safe as possible.
“I ask that everyone follows the guidelines as closely as they can, be patient and respectful to one another. I look forward to welcoming everyone back to Crompton Place.”
