Additionally, "a majority" of the Eastern Promenade will be closed to all vehicles apart from taxis, however, Salt Lake car park will remain open and accessible.

For those dropping off, Bridgend Council advise there will be signage provided to guide to both car parks and dedicated drop-off zones.

Signs will also advise divers on diversions both driving in and around the town over the festival weekend.

Due to diversions, motorists are advised that Victoria Avenue, Doddridge Way, Park Avenue and Dock Street will all be one-way to minimise congestion on diversion routes.

Griffin Park will also be the home of St John's Ambulance's triage centre, with the Welsh Ambulance Service using a cycle response unit operating within the area.

Local Policing Inspector from Bridgend and Porthcawl, Mark Davies, said: “The Elvis Festival attracts tens of thousands of people to Porthcawl.

"Our officers will be there to ensure everything runs smoothly - our priority is to keep everyone safe and we’ll take whatever steps are necessary in order to do so.

"My message to everyone is to enjoy the occasion safely and responsibly.”
