All the pressure in Week 15 is on Tua Tagovailoa and the Miami Dolphins

This is the online version of our daily newsletter, The Morning WinSubscribe to get irreverent and incisive sports stories, delivered to your mailbox every morning.

We’ve officially hit the homestretch of the 2022 NFL season. It’s Week 15. Every team has four games left. There’s nowhere to hide.

And there’s no team with more pressure on it heading into this weekend than the Miami Dolphins.

Mike McDaniel’s team has been a lot of fun this year. Tyreek Hill has been everything they hoped he would be when they traded for him.

Tua Tagovailoa has had large stretches where he’s looked like one of the best QBs in the league. Lately, however, that hasn’t been the case and Dolphins fans are likely freaking out.

Now things are getting super serious in the NFL and the Dolphins are about to face their biggest test of the season when they take on the Bills on what could be a snowy night in Buffalo on Saturday.

That will not be easy. At all. McDaniel has tried to brush off the talk about snow in Buffalo but things could get pretty nasty there and if it does, Tua and Co. could be in a lot of trouble.

Why is there so much pressure on the Dolphins? They’ve lost two straight games and the offense has pretty much come crashing back to earth. You can’t lose three straight this late in the season. Just can not happen.

If they lose this week they’ll fall to 8-6, which is where a number of AFC teams battling for the last few playoff spots could be when Week 15 is over.

Speaking of AFC teams fighting for playoff spots – the Dolphins face the Patriots on the road in Week 17 and Jets at home in Week 18. They’d very much like to have a bit of a cushion going into those games. A loss to Buffalo would hurt that chance.

Oh, and then there are the Buffalo Bills, the team the Dolphins are facing Saturday night. Josh Allen and his guys are one of the best teams in the league and they live for this kind of late-season weather game. And so do their fans.

Place is gonna be bonkers.

All the pressure is on the Dolphins this weekend. And it could get ugly for them. Just like those weather forecasts.
