All the places you can now visit under new lockdown rules

The country has now been in lockdown for more than 12 weeks with the Government finally easing restrictions that will allow those living on their own to see other people.

In the same announcement, it was confirmed zoos and safari parks could reopen again - but not pubs, hairdressers or beauty salons.

Next week is set to mark some the biggest changes since lockdown started with non-essentials shops able to reopen from Monday, June 15.

However, despite restrictions easing it is important to remember the country is still in lockdown which means there are still places banned from opening and places you're not allowed to visit just yet.

To clear up any confusion, we've taken a look what you can do this weekend according to the current rules in place.

Places you can visit

- Supermarkets

- Day trips to open spaces are allowed as long as you are able to return the same night

- National parks or beaches are allowed

- Homeware stores such as Matalan or Dunelm Mill

- DIY stores such as B&Q

- Outdoor markets

- Car showrooms

- Home viewing for those looking to buy or rent property are now back running and should be arrange through an estate agdent

- Your local park

- Budget retailers such as The Range, Home Bargains & B&M

- A restaurant to pick up a collection only

- Health shops

- Petrol stations

- Garages

- Newsagents and off-licenses

- Laundrettes and dry cleaners

- Pet shops and vets

- Post Offices

- Banks

- Pharmacies

From tomorrow, Monday, June 15:

You will be able to visit any type of shop and some additional outdoor attractions - drive-in cinemas, and animal attractions like zoos, farms and safari parks

You will have to wear a face covering on public transport.

You will still be able to meet outdoors with groups of up to six people from different households, provided social distancing is observed and you stay two metres away from anyone outside your household or support bubble.
