All the pictures from when the Coca-Cola Truck came to Bristol today

Crowds braved chilly rain to get a free fizzy drink when the Coca-Cola truck rolled into South Gloucestershire this afternoon.

The big red festive truck parked up in the particularly Christmassy surroundings of Asda in Cribbs Causeway on Friday afternoon, and as darkness fell quickly there was almost a palpable sense of excitement in the air as the Coca-Cola staff gave out free drinks - albeit a 150ml can, that's more than half the size of a regular one.

But aside from the free drinks, there was the opportunity to have a selfie with the truck, which has starred in decades' worth of annual Christmas ads for Coca-Cola, more often than not in illustrated form.

Visitors were able to have a go at the 'Coke-nut shy' - see what they did there - and have pictures at three different locations alongside the truck - it's that long - namely 'The Photo Podium', the 'Photo Frame' and the 'Selfie Bridge' .

There were even some miniature white model reindeer and a little white picket fence to add to the excitement.

The 150ml cans were free, but those there were also able to buy a pack of 250ml traditional glass bottles of Coca-Cola, personalised with their names on.
