All the people who fell ill after taking 'Skype' ecstasy pills at Parklife are out of hospital

Five people who were rushed to hospital in a critical condition after taking potent 'Skype' ecstasy pills at Parklife festival are recovering at home.

A warning was issued about the dangers of the tablets after the festival-goers fell ill.

The five patients were rushed to North Manchester and Fairfield hospitals during the festival on June 8 and 9.

On Monday, a spokesman for Northern Care Alliance NHS Group said: "They have all been discharged now."

The five were among a 'number of patients' taken to hospital during the festival at Heaton Park.

Some were treated for alcohol and drug-related conditions.

Drugs awareness charity The Loop shared a photo of the Skype ecstasy tablets - saying they had been linked to a number of 'welfare cases'.

The tablets contain 250 to 300mg of MDMA, which is three times the normal amount.

Parklife boss Sacha Lord issued a warning ahead of the festival, urging people to 'party sensibly'.

He said: "You've paid for your ticket and waited all this time to party with your friends and see your favourite acts.

"There's 80,000 of you in a park all there for one reason, to have the time of your lives and enjoy the music.

"Don't overdo it. Party. But party sensibly. Pace yourselves and enjoy the whole weekend. Look after each other."
