All the new fish coming to Animal Crossing: New Horizons in July

New fish will be in the ocean now that it's July (Picture: Nintendo)

New fish are available every month in Animal Crossing, which means it's time to get fishing.

For those who want to complete their Critterpedia, a new month means they can continue to do just that.

If you live in the Northern Hemisphere, that means summer is in full swing. With this, you'll start to see some exotic (and valuable) fish in your waters.

June brought us a whole host of new fish to snag, including different sharks and piranhas, and July isn't adding too much to the roster.

There will, of course, be new bugs to capture this month as well, which is sure to thrill entomologists out there, but we will cover that in a different guide

Here are all the fish you'll be able to catch in July

Ponds

  • There are no new pond fish this month,

Rivers:

  • Sweetfish: Available all day in rivers. This fish has a medium shadow.

Ocean:

  • Blue Marlin: Available all day at your island's pier. Look for a huge shadow.
  • Napoleon fish: Available all day in the ocean. Look for a huge shadow
  • Pufferfish: Available all day in the ocean. Look for a medium to small shadow.
  • Ocean Sunfish: Available in the ocean from 4am – 9pm. Look for a huge shadow with a fin.

Did you catch everything you needed in June?

June added sharks into the game for northern hemisphere players, ranging from the Great White to Hammerheads to Saw Sharks.
