Plans to open 50 new UK supermarkets this year have been announced by The Co-op, as well as 15 store expansions and 100 store renovations.
As part of the plans four new Co-op Stores have already opened in Wales.
Last week The Co-op opened a Swansea store on Walter Road and a store in Penyffordd, Hawarden Road.
It comes after a petrol filling station and food store in Pontyates launched last month.
While a brand new Co-op store opened in Hope, near Wrexham, in August.
A new-look Co-op launched in Gilfach Goch in March while Co-op's larger format store in Lampeter received a major makeover too.
Still to come is a brand new store in Wrexham, The Co-op has confirmed.
Located in Lord Street, the store is expected to open in November with a focus on fresh, healthy produce, bakery products, award winning wines, ready meals and pizzas, free-from and vegan products, Fairtrade, food-to-go and, everyday essentials.
All new stores will run on 100% renewable energy.
Co-op Regional Manager, Paul Chudley, said: "We are delighted to continue our investment programme in Wales which is creating new stores in communities, while transforming our existing sites – this includes the introduction of additional services, such as Amazon Lockers, Costa coffee and the phased roll-out of our own online shop alongside our work with partners including Deliveroo and John Lewis Click & Collect, to develop a really compelling convenience offer locally.
