All the new benefit and pension rates in full as MPs approve universal credit changes

The UK government has formally approved changes to how much benefits claimants will receive.

MPs officially passed proposals to raise universal credit (UC) and other benefits in the UK by 3.1% on Monday, February 7.

The changes, which come into effect on April 11, passed a House of Commons vote 298-29, with Labour MPs being whipped to abstain.

Although the rise is in line with what inflation was last autumn, campaigners have raised concerns that it adds up to a real-terms cut in payments due to inflation - already 4.8% for the 12 months up to December 2021 - and a cost-of-living crisis, compounded by the 54% rise in energy costs announced last week.

Here is a breakdown of all the new benefits changes from April 11:

Attendance allowance

Higher rate: £92.40 (from £89.60)

Lower rate: £61.85 (from £60)
