Changes to benefit payments have been approved by the Government.
Universal Credit (UC) and a number of other payments will rise in April in an attempt to keep pace with the rising cost of living.
This comes after proposals to raise UC and other benefits in the UK by 3.1% were passed by MPs on Monday, February 7.

Benefits rise most years and this year's changes will come into effect on April 11, after passing a House of Commons vote 298-29, with Labour MPs being whipped to abstain.
Although the rise is in line with what inflation was last autumn, campaigners have raised concerns that it adds up to a real-terms cut in payments due to inflation - already 4.8% for the 12 months up to December 2021 - and a cost-of-living crisis, compounded by the 54% rise in energy costs announced last week, reports Wales Online.
