Following the success of last weekend’s Bank Holiday walk-in vaccination clinics, health officials have decided to reopen them from today for anyone aged 16 or over.
Four in five of Ireland’s population over the required age now has at least one dose of a Covid vaccine, and around three in four of those eligible have full protection.
Thursday marked a major milestone in Ireland’s fight against the pandemic, as the six millionth dose was administered, and parents will be able to opt-in for a dose for their children aged 12-15 from next week.
The public is reminded that anyone over 16 can access a vaccine at any clinic - it does not need to be specific to the county you live in.
