A number of street parties are being held across Leeds to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and this means roads across the city will be closed as part of the celebrations.
Celebrations have been happening across the bank holiday from June 2 to June 5. Roads across Leeds have requested a closure for street parties and events. Across the city, there have been almost 80 closures, with 59 this weekend.
Events have ranged from street food festivals, pop-up bars and restaurants and of course, the iconic street party. Areas of Leeds have seen bunting hung high above the roads to mark and celebrate Queen Elizabeth II 70 years on the throne, it's never been seen before so it's a truly momentous occasion.
