All the Greater Manchester walk-in vaccination centres open for booster shots this weekend

Vaccination centres across Greater Manchester will be open this weekend - giving eligible people the chance to 'grab a jab' without an appointment.

The NHS is now offering boosters shots to the most vulnerable people, in addition to first and second doses to anyone over the age of 12.

Currently, anyone over the age of 40, as well as NHS staff and people with underlying health conditions, can have a booster shot.

The current guidance states that booster jabs must be given six months after a second jab was administered, however, the gap between jabs is set to be reduced to just three months.

The booster programme is also set to be extended to include all adults by the end of January.

Like the initial vaccine programme, the booster programme will go down through the age groups in increments, this time by five-year gaps.

First and second doses are also available to adults at a number of walk-in centres across the region.

First doses are available to anyone 18 and over, while second doses can be administered if it is at least eight weeks since your first.

Your second dose will be the same vaccine as your first dose.

If you have recently tested positive for coronavirus, you should wait 28 days before getting vaccinated.

Here are all the walk-in vaccination centres that will be open in Greater Manchester this weekend.
