All the flood alerts in place across Nottinghamshire as more heavy rain forecast

There are a number of flood alerts still in place across the Nottinghamshire region as more heavy rain is predicted to batter the county.

The Met Office has forecast heavy rainfall for the rest of Wednesday and into Thursday, with an amber weather warning in place until midday on Thursday, January 21.

The national weather service has said the effects of Storm Christoph combined with some snowmelt from higher ground is likely to lead to flooding.

A flood alert means "flooding is possible" and residents should "be prepared".

On Tuesday, more rainfall overnight caused a supermarket car park to flood in a Nottinghamshire village - leaving a car stranded underwater.

The Co-op car park in East Leake flooded again for the second time in a month.
