All the Death in Paradise cameos in 'emotional' Beyond Paradise BBC spin-off finale

Beyond Paradise viewers were thrilled to see some familiar faces make an appearance as the first series came to an emotional end.

The sixth and final episode of the Death In Paradise spin-off saw DI Humphrey Goodman, played by Kris Marshall, make a shock return to Saint Marie after seemingly parting ways with fiancée Martha. The trip saw Humphrey reunite with a few old friends as a string of Death In Paradise stars appeared for heart-warming cameos in the finale.

The special crossover episode was hailed as a "joy to watch" by viewers, and the BBC has since confirmed that Beyond Paradise will be back for a second series and Christmas special, much to the delight of fans. But if you haven't managed to catch up with the last episode, here's the full list of all the Death In Paradise stars who popped up on Friday, as reported by WalesOnline.

Don Warrington as Commissioner Selwyn Patterson

Humphrey's help in times of need came in the shape of Commissioner Selwyn Patterson, with the finale seeing him have a heart-to-heart with his old boss outside the beach hut. But it wasn't the first mention of Selwyn this series - a previous episode saw Humphrey and Martha decide to name their boat-home's resident duck after the Commissioner.

Don Warrington has played the character since Death in Paradise’s first episode in 2011, with his character overseeing the running of the police department on Saint Marie. Aside from Death in Paradise, Don has also been in the likes of Rising Damp, The Crouches and Doctor Who.

Ralf Little as DI Neville Parker

Viewers were thrilled when they finally got to see Humphrey and Neville meet for the first time. Ralf Little has played Neville since 2020, and will return to Death in Paradise next year.

Life has been tough for Neville, who recently discovered that his girlfriend Sophie had been lying to him from the start. The latest series ended with him choosing to stay on Saint Marie with his friends.

Before joining Death in Paradise, Ralf was best known for his roles in sitcoms The Royle Family and Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps. He also recently presented a six-part travel series titled Ricky & Ralf's Very Northern Road Trip with his Royle Family co-star Ricky Tomlinson.

Tahj Miles as Marlon Pryce

Marlon could be seen enjoying a few drinks at Catherine's Bar as Humphrey introduced Martha to the Saint Marie gang. The character was first seen on Death in Paradise as a petty criminal who spent his days scamming tourists, but is now a trainee officer with the local police.

Actor Tahj Miles has previously appeared as part of the main cast on the CBBC series Class Dismissed, and also had a role in Steve McQueen's Mangrove – part of the Small Axe series of films on BBC One.

Shantol Jackson as DS Naomi Thomas

Also making a cameo at Catherine's Bar was DS Naomi Thomas, played by Shantol Jackson, who joined Neville and Marlon in having a drink. Although Death in Paradise is Shantol's first major role, the actress has previously appeared in a small role in Idris Elba's film Yardie and a main part in 2018 sports movie Sprinter.

Élizabeth Bourgine as Catherine Bordey

Catherine of Catherine's Bar herself also made a small cameo in Beyond Paradise's final episode. Élizabeth Bourgine returned to play the character, who is also the mayor of Saint Marie.

Much like Don Warrington, Élizabeth has been on Death in Paradise since its first episode. The actress has previously appeared in several shows and movies in her home country of France, including Private Lessons, A Heart in Winter, and My Best Friend.
